Neil Young - Thrasher

I had intended to post something more recent, but it turned out that today was the day I decided to finally listen to Neil Young, specifically Rust Never Sleeps. So here is "Thrasher", in true "Song of the Day" fashion.

I watched Easy Rider (again) last night, and man does the ending of that movie uncompromisingly suck.

But my question is, what took you so long to come around on Neil Young? Surely you've listened to Buffalo Springfield.

It is easy to grow disillusioned with movies widely hailed as the 'greatest of all time' or some such nonsense, at least when you are just starting out learning about the great films. It is a bit of wisdom one gains when you realize that even the best movies yet made have a clunker scene or two.

(That was really condescending, Aaron.)

I've....never seen Easy Rider. Not any of it.

Because of its hallowed place in biker culture, it has to be said that Easy Rider is overrated. But I would definitely watch it -- Nicholson alone is worth it.

I hated Easy Rider, it's easily the most dated thing I've ever seen, and I try to avoid that term/mindset. Plus, all that terrible Steppenwolf. Don't bother, Craigs.

(I didn't mean you, Tyler, I was just talking to the ether.)

(I was being a little bitchy Friday. Don't mind me.)
